Rotary support Ukraine

In support of Humanitarian Aid to Ukrainians, the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor has made a major contribution to the New Dawn – Rotary – Ukraine project.

This project is a partnership between Rotary South Australia (district 9510) clubs and the Ukrainian not-for-profit NGO New Dawn in the southern villages of Ukraine.

The Victor Harbor Rotary Club donated $12,000, which will assist the build of the third Modular Medical Centre being installed in a village/regional area with a population of 19,000.

Rotary Victor Harbor president Murray Nitschke said many of the regional hospitals and schools in southern Ukraine were destroyed during the Russian invasion last year.

“Ukrainians are in desperate need of medical and educational facilities,” he said.

The presentation was held at the Rotary Victor Harbor meeting on December 6 at the Hotel Crown to Project Leader New Dawn – Rotary – Ukraine project Tim Mee.

The New Dawn – Rotary – Ukraine Project based in Odesa, Ukraine, is working on the ground, providing humanitarian aid and supporting medical, educational and other community services in the Southern Villages of Ukraine.
